God's Protection
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Reflection
David piles up metaphor upon metaphor to describe God's protective nature: rock, fortress, deliverer, refuge, shield, stronghold. Each image conveys security and safety. In a world full of threats—physical, emotional, spiritual—God is our ultimate protection. Not every danger is prevented, but in every danger, He is present as our refuge.
Prayer Focus
Lord, You are my rock and my fortress. I run to You for safety today. When I feel vulnerable or afraid, remind me that You are my shield. Hide me in Your presence and protect me from the schemes of the enemy. I trust in Your mighty power to deliver me. Amen.
